About this piece
A stylized garden figure combines a black metal body with an orange glass head, a cobalt crest, and a large circular orange shield. Backlighting reveals swirls and speckles within the glass, while the tightly cropped composition sets its saturated colors against softly blurred green foliage. The contrast between dark metal and luminous glass gives the figure a playful, watchful presence.
The story
On this late-November day, light passes through the glass and gathers in amber and blue. Among broad green leaves, the figure holds its splayed metal hands still, its red-tipped profile pointing beyond the frame. Small circles repeat down its body, each carrying a bright blue rim and a red center. A fine strand of web stretches nearby, placing this imagined guardian quietly within the garden’s smaller world.
