A Garden in Glaze
MG-1859

About this piece
Ceramic vessels covered in orange flowers and green foliage overlap in a densely layered display. Strong sunlight catches their cobalt-blue rims and finely crackled glaze, while selective focus draws attention to a small vessel near the center. The diagonal shelf lends depth and order to an exuberant field of color.
The story
On this March day, the painted flowers hold their brightness in the sun. Orange petals spread across curved ceramic surfaces, bordered by green leaves and deep blue glaze. A small vessel comes into focus amid the surrounding blur, its fine network of cracks briefly clear. Shadows gather beneath the rounded forms, giving this garden of fixed blossoms a quiet weight.
