About this piece
An owl-shaped ornament rests in the fork of a fruiting tree, its amber-orange body and purple eyes framed by moss- and lichen-covered bark. Dappled light catches its glossy surface and the surrounding red fruit, while a diagonal trunk lends structure to the dense composition. The contrast between crafted figure and living tree gives the scene a quietly playful character.
The story
Late November finds a bright-eyed watcher tucked into the tree's fork. Light gathers on its orange belly, tracing black bands beneath a small red beak. Around it, clusters of dark red fruit crowd the branches, and green moss softens the bark. The ornamental owl keeps its fixed gaze while the foliage behind it dissolves into green shade and flecks of blue.
