Where Stone Shelters Green

About this piece
A broad stone arch frames a narrow paved passage, where potted trees and hanging plants gather against textured masonry. Warm daylight illuminates the greenery beyond the shaded vault, while a bicycle leaning against a barred window anchors the foreground. The curving architecture and receding paving draw the eye into an intimate, sheltered space.
The story
June light reaches into the passage, catching leaves and bright flowers against the stone. Beneath the arch, shade holds the masonry in deeper amber tones. A bicycle rests beside a doorway, its wheels still against the uneven paving. Ahead, pots and trailing stems soften the walls, leaving just enough room for the path to continue.
