The story

June light fills the garden, catching the dome above the dark trees. At the foreground urn, a star of clipped foliage spreads across the earth, each point meeting another measured strip of green. Orange paths carry the eye between rows of upright shrubs and narrow beds of red flowers. Beyond this precise arrangement, a thin blue band of sea opens beneath the sky. The garden holds its lines while the clouds keep their softer shapes.
