A sand-dusted boardwalk descends between dune vegetation and rope-linked wooden posts toward a narrow band of blue sea. Overlapping coconut fronds fill the upper frame, their yellow-green edges bright in the sunlight. The converging walkway and fences give the lush coastal scene a quiet sense of invitation.

The story

Early August light settles on the pale sand and weathered boards. Along the walkway, creeping leaves reach between the slats, softening the line of passage. Above, the palms spread their fine green ribs across the sky, with coconuts tucked close to the trunks. The ropes dip from post to post until the path opens onto water, and the crowded textures of the dunes give way to a clear horizon.
