About this piece
Feathery compound leaves spread across the frame, their paired leaflets edged with sunlight among rounded yellow blossoms. Diagonal woody branches anchor the layered composition, while shallow focus dissolves the surrounding foliage into blue and green, lending the intricate growth an airy stillness.
The story
On this May day, light passes through the small leaflets, turning their edges a luminous green. Each branching stem carries its own measured sequence of shapes, close together yet leaving room for light. Yellow blossoms gather beyond the sharpest leaves, soft as scattered pollen. The eye follows one slender branch outward, then rests in the blue between the foliage.
