The story
On this February day, the sky opens in blue slivers between the palm leaves. The eye follows the rough trunk upward, arriving where thick stems spread in every direction. Sunlight turns a descending frond orange-gold, setting it apart from the green canopy above. Beneath this layered roof, the world narrows to bark, leaf, and light.
