Pale cliffs rise above a dense green forest, their faces and the cloudless blue sky mirrored in still water scattered with rocks and fallen wood. Warm sunlight reveals the stone’s vertical fissures, while the opposing cliffs frame an open central passage of sky. The reflection balances monumental height with the intimate textures of the shoreline.
The story
Late June light fills the leaves and warms the pale walls of stone. At the water’s edge, scattered rocks interrupt a second, inverted valley. A fallen trunk rests along the far bank, its dark bark distinct against the luminous green. Small ripples loosen the reflected cliffs, allowing their immense forms to tremble without disturbing the quiet.
