Sheer rock walls rise above a dense band of green trees, their sunlit faces mirrored in the calm river below. Foreground stones and fallen branches interrupt the reflection, giving scale and texture to a composition held between monumental height and quiet water.
The story
Late June light warms the cliffs and fills the riverside foliage with yellow-green brightness. Between scattered stones, the water holds an inverted valley, its blue depths opening into another sky. A fallen trunk rests along the far bank, while bare branches draw dark lines across the foreground. The smallest ripple softens what the rock face holds firm.
