A Fan Of Light
MG-1138
Category: Botanical Fire
November 2018
About this piece
A tightly framed palm leaf fills the photograph, its pleated surface radiating from a point near the lower edge. Luminous yellow-green panels alternate with deep green folds and pale golden ribs, turning botanical structure into a rhythmic, almost abstract composition.
The story
On this November day, the leaf holds a bright field of green and gold. Light follows each ridge upward, while the narrow folds keep their shade. Fine veins emerge along the right side; toward the top, their precision softens into bands of color. Beyond the frame, the leaf continues, its full span left to the imagination.
