A substantial timber gateway stands amid bamboo and dense foliage, its open center framing a pale path and a glimpse of water beyond. Warm sunlight emphasizes the wood grain and yellow-green leaves, while the nearly symmetrical composition gives the garden entrance a quiet, measured presence.

The story

September light gathers on the timber, bringing its grain into relief beneath the shaded eaves. Around the gateway, slender bamboo stems repeat the vertical rhythm of the fence. The stone paving meets a softer gravel path, and the eye follows it toward a small opening of water. Beyond the threshold, green fills almost every space, leaving only narrow pieces of sky.
