Golden foliage fills the foreground, descending diagonally toward a shadowed hollow beneath a wooded ridge. Sunlight catches the upper canopy while slender, largely bare trunks emerge from the darker slopes, giving the landscape a quiet tension between autumn abundance and exposure.

The story

November opens with gold still gathered on the hillside. Light rests on the nearest crowns, while across the hollow the trees reveal their pale, fine branches. The eye follows the bright slope downward, then climbs toward the orange leaves along the distant crest. Between these bands of warmth, the forest holds its deep blue shadow.
