A densely wooded slope fills the frame, its orange and golden crowns interwoven with green foliage and pale, leafless branches. Bright light and deep blue-toned shadows create a richly textured composition without sky or horizon. The repetition of trees lends the autumn landscape a tapestry-like stillness.

The story

November begins with color still gathered in the treetops. Gold and copper leaves catch the light, while bare branches draw fine lines through the shaded woodland. Pockets of green hold their place among the warmer crowns. The eye wanders from tree to tree, following the uneven pace at which the season passes.
