A succession of brick arches narrows toward a distant dark opening, drawing the eye through a tightly framed architectural rhythm. Strong light reveals pitted masonry in rust, rose, and muted violet, while alternating shadows articulate the pale, uneven floor. The empty passage balances monumental weight with a quiet sense of invitation.

The story

At the beginning of January, the passage holds a measured stillness. Light catches the rough faces of the bricks and falls in bright intervals across the ground. Each arch offers another, smaller threshold, carrying the eye farther than the nearest walls seem to allow. At the end, a dark opening keeps its interior hidden.
