Repeating bridge arches and slender utility poles converge near the sun, drawing the eye across a broad expanse of turquoise water. The bridge’s weathered surfaces contrast with the softened water and clouds, while a narrow golden reflection warms the predominantly blue scene.

The story

I framed the sun between two lines reaching toward the horizon: the heavy rhythm of the arches and the finer procession of poles. Birds rested along the wires, small marks against the blue. What held my attention was the contrast between the worn bridge and the luminous water beneath it. For a moment, every line seemed to lead toward that single opening in the clouds, where gold interrupted the cool expanse.
