A densely moored fleet of sailboats and motorboats stretches across the marina beneath a clear blue sky. Bright light picks out white hulls and colorful canvas covers, while the masts extend into wavering reflections across the open foreground. The wide composition balances the harbor’s intricate geometry with the calm expanse of water.
The story
Late June light fills the marina, catching the edges of hulls and the fine lines of rigging. A red-covered sailboat holds a bright note among the blues and whites. Above the docks, the masts stand nearly straight; below, their reflections loosen into trembling threads. Palms rise beside the waterfront buildings, and small ripples carry the harbor’s colors toward the lower edge of the frame.
