A lamp-lined pier recedes from the right edge toward the horizon, its repeated supports anchoring an expanse of turquoise water. Warm lights cast pink reflections across the softened surf, while golden-brown seaweed textures the foreground beneath a cloud-filled sky. The composition balances the pier’s firm geometry with the fluid shoreline and luminous breaks in the clouds.
The story
June light gathers in the openings between clouds, pale gold against the blue. Along the pier, small lamps glow above the water, their reflections stretching toward the sand. A wash of foam reaches the scattered seaweed and softens its ragged edges. Beyond it, the pilings diminish into the distance, marking a steady path through the moving sea.
