A rooster stands in right-facing profile on a narrow ledge, its scarlet comb and golden plumage vivid against a nearly monochrome fence. Strong light reveals the layered feathers and scaly legs, while the softly blurred bars establish a measured rhythm behind its upright, alert form.
The story
Early April light catches the rooster’s golden neck, tracing each narrow feather. Its feet hold the ledge while its eye stays fixed beyond the frame. Behind it, the fence repeats its pale and dark intervals, indifferent to the brilliant red of the comb. For this moment, the bird’s presence is enough; no call is needed.
