Petals Holding Light

About this piece
Vivid pink blossoms and tapered red buds occupy the right side of the frame, balanced by an open field of softly blurred green. Light reveals fine veins and curled petal edges, giving the saturated flowers a sculptural presence within an intimate, quiet composition.
The story
Late November finds a pocket of brilliant pink among the greens. Light rests along the petals, tracing each ridge before slipping into the darker folds. Beneath the open flowers, a closed bud holds its narrow shape. The surrounding foliage dissolves into softness, leaving this small gathering of bloom and promise.
