Where Yellow Unfolds

About this piece

White plumeria petals deepen to luminous yellow toward their centers, filling the frame with overlapping curves. Strong light reveals their fine surface texture and bright rims, while the soft blue background gives the tightly cropped composition an expansive, airy feeling.

The story

Late November finds a small brightness gathered in the folds of a flower. Yellow spreads outward into ivory, following the gentle rise of each petal. Against the blue, the curled edges seem almost weightless, though their surfaces hold a delicate grain. The eye moves inward through these overlapping shapes and rests where the light turns gold.
