Seen from below, a dense bamboo grove draws the eye upward along jointed stems toward irregular openings of sky. Sunlight turns the foliage vivid green and catches golden surfaces on the bamboo, while deep shadows lend depth to the radiating composition. The view feels both sheltered and expansive.

The story

In early December, the sky opens in small blue clearings between the bamboo crowns. The eye follows one golden stem upward until it disappears among narrow leaves. Sunlight passes through the canopy, setting bright edges against layers of green shade. Beneath this high gathering of foliage, the year's closing month holds a moment of luminous stillness.
