About this piece

Tall bamboo crowds both sides of a narrow, stone-strewn trail, its upright stems interrupted by slender diagonals. Filtered daylight illuminates the green canopy and golden fallen leaves, while the path draws the eye toward a shaded distance. The composition balances the grove’s enclosing density with a quiet invitation to continue.

The story

On this December day, green fills the space overhead, and fallen bamboo leaves lie in gold-colored layers underfoot. The trail asks for a measured pace among its scattered stones. Light catches the segmented stems, then slips into the dark intervals between them. Farther ahead, the passage narrows until the grove seems to gather around every step.
