Seen from below, undulating sandstone walls enclose irregular ribbons of blue sky. Sunlight turns the upper edges gold and orange, while deeper folds settle into burgundy and violet shadow. Fine striations draw the eye around the frame, giving the enclosed space a flowing, sculptural rhythm.
The story
Early September light reaches into the opening, catching the stone along its highest folds. Below, shadow gathers in rounded hollows, and the grain of the sandstone remains sharply visible. The sky narrows to a blue seam, briefly interrupted by a projecting ledge. Between the close walls, the eye follows each illuminated curve toward open air.
