September in Gold

About this piece

Two yellow sunflowers form a loose diagonal on the right, balanced by branching stems, unopened buds, and green foliage. Bright light reveals fine veins in the petals and the dense texture of their dark centers, while a softly blurred coral background intensifies the saturated color. The composition holds an exuberant subject in a moment of stillness.

The story

Early September gathers in two open flowers. Light runs along each yellow petal, revealing delicate lines that lead toward the dark, crowded centers. Around them, leaves overlap in cool green layers, and small buds remain tightly folded. Against the coral-colored distance, the blossoms hold their separate circles of gold.
