A golden wooden door, framed by a rough reddish stone arch, anchors a layered arrangement of whitewashed walls, railings, and ascending steps. Strong sunlight draws crisp cactus silhouettes and angular shadows across the plaster, setting warm wood and terracotta against cool blue-gray shade.

The story

Late July light rests on the closed door, bringing the grain of its wooden boards into sharp relief. Beside it, cactus spines cast fine lines across the white wall, their shadows larger than the plants themselves. Terracotta pots punctuate the steps and ledges with the color of fired earth. The stairway turns upward out of sight, leaving the threshold in a quiet interval of light and shade.
