The story

Late July light gathers on the wooden door, turning its grain a deep honey gold. Beside it, cactus spines draw fine lines across the white wall, each plant accompanied by a shadow. The clay vessels carry shallow waves around their rounded bodies, a softer rhythm against the upright stems. Beyond the sunlit threshold, blue shade offers the eye a place to rest.
