The story

On this August night, the street seems to borrow its daylight from the screens overhead. Passengers sit above the traffic, their faces briefly framed by the bus rails and towering advertisements. A musical’s title stretches across the yellow bodywork, bringing the language of the stage into the roadway. Along the pavement, people pass through overlapping pools of red, blue, and white. Amid the crowded spectacle, the windshield holds another city made entirely of reflections.
