The story

July light gathers on the broad shoulders of the urn. Above its rim, green blades give way to fine, straw-colored stems that trace the dark stone. Beside them, braided strands hang across the doorway, their loose ends stopping just above the threshold. Light reaches the entrance but leaves the space beyond in shadow.
