About this piece

A winged figure crowns a tiered fountain, its dark sculptural forms set against a luminous blue sky threaded with white clouds. The centered composition extends downward through a long, rippled reflection, while cascading water and vivid green planting soften the monument’s formal symmetry.

The story

August light fills the sky above the outstretched wings. Water slips over the fountain’s rims in fine curtains, gathering below among reeds and floating leaves. Beyond the pool, small figures linger along the edge, almost absorbed by the dense green trees. In the foreground, each ripple loosens the reflected monument until its solid forms become wavering bands of blue and shadow.
