The story

August gathers in the dense foliage surrounding the pool. Water slips over the upper bowl in fine, luminous threads, then falls in broader streams toward its reflection. Above it all, the winged figure holds a gesture that never finishes. Visitors linger along the far edge, small beneath the trees and sweeping clouds. In the foreground, leaves interrupt the reflected monument, and its solid shape loosens into ripples.
