A close view of fern foliage reveals translucent green leaflets, branching veins, and fine spiderweb threads suspended between them. Strong backlighting traces the serrated edges against deep green shadow, while a diagonal stem crosses the repeating leaf forms, lending structure to the luminous composition.
The story
Late November finds a bright green world within the fern. Light passes through each leaflet, revealing veins that divide into finer and finer paths. Between these ordered forms, spider silk stretches in loose, irregular lines. The eye follows a single shining thread into shadow, where its course disappears.
