A white flower spreads its elongated petals left of center, surrounded by deep pink buds on branching reddish stems. Sunlight reveals fine ridges and gently curled edges, while shallow focus softens the green foliage into a luminous backdrop. The contrast between the open bloom and tightly closed buds lends the composition a quiet sense of anticipation.
The story
Late November finds a white bloom open to the light. Its long petals reach unevenly across the green, some curling back to reveal a trace of pink. Nearby, crimson buds hold their color close along slender stems. Beyond this small gathering, leaves dissolve into shadow and gold-green brightness, leaving the flower momentarily distinct.
