The story

Late July light settles across the rounded roofs, leaving cool shadows beneath their curves. A green-patinated bell hangs still within its white arch, the sea shining through the opening below. Along the hillside, terraces and stairways thread between white, rose, and ochre walls. The eye follows them toward the water, then returns to the solitary bell against the sky.
