Seen from beneath a pier, repeating concrete supports form a symmetrical passage toward a luminous horizon. Warm light traces the weathered pillars, contrasting with turquoise water whose softened surface offsets the structure’s strong geometry.
The story
I framed the view beneath the pier so that each pair of pillars led toward the small opening of sky at its far end. Along the concrete edges, orange light caught the rough surfaces while the water below gathered into shades of turquoise. What held my attention was the contrast: the weight of the structure overhead and the restless sea beneath it, sharing a moment that looked almost perfectly still.
