Cool blue tones unite a densely pebbled shore and the pale sweep of surf. The water’s softened motion contrasts with the sharply defined stones, tracing a shifting boundary between solidity and dissolution.
The story
I watched the water slip between the stones, filling each narrow space before drawing back. My eye kept returning to the larger rock, a dark anchor amid the pale movement. I wanted to hold both qualities in the frame: the weight of the shore and the water’s refusal to keep a shape. Looking down, with no horizon to follow, I found an entire seascape in this small meeting of pebbles and surf.
