About this piece

A wood-rimmed steering wheel and its Cobra emblem dominate this tightly cropped view of a car cockpit. Strong light warms the amber grain and catches fine scratches on the metal spokes, while circular gauges recede into the dark dashboard. The close composition gives mechanical detail a quiet, sculptural presence.

The story

November light settles on the wooden rim, drawing its grain out of the surrounding darkness. The polished spokes hold bright reflections, their small scratches visible beneath the shine. Behind them, dial markings and colored controls form a compact language of motion. The frame offers no road, only the intimate space where a journey begins.
