About this piece

A solitary cyclist rides away along a paved path framed by tall palms and dense, broad-leaved greenery. Strong sunlight illuminates the pale trunks and casts intricate shadows across the paving, while overlapping fronds reveal pockets of vivid blue sky. The central perspective gives the lush scene a measured rhythm and quiet depth.

The story

On this May day, sunlight threads through the palm canopy and falls in broken patterns across the path. A cyclist moves toward the distant greenery, a small flash of orange beneath the towering trunks. The fronds overlap high above, their fine leaves dividing the blue sky into narrow slivers. Ahead, the path narrows until foliage seems to gather around it; behind, the sunlit paving remains open.
