A woodland stream descends through moss-covered boulders, passing beneath a fallen trunk and dividing into small cascades. Soft light brings out vivid greens and copper-colored leaves, while the vertical composition follows the silky water toward the foreground. The contrast between flowing water and rough stone gives the scene a quiet, grounded rhythm.

The story

Late October gathers in the hollows of the rocks, where fallen leaves rest against bright moss. Water slips beneath the broken trunk and opens into a shallow amber pool. Farther down, it separates around a broad stone, drawing pale ribbons over its dark surface. The leaves remain caught along the edges as the stream continues past them.
