Where Autumn Flows

About this piece
A tiered waterfall spreads across dark rock, framed by bright moss and copper-colored fallen leaves. Cool, softly luminous water fills the center and right of the composition, its blurred movement contrasting with the sharply textured stones and leaf-covered banks. The close framing creates a secluded, contemplative view of an autumn cascade.
The story
Late October gathers in the folds of the rock, each wet leaf holding a shade of copper or rust. Water slips between the ledges and opens into pale curtains, carrying its steady murmur down the slope. Beside it, moss keeps a vivid green beneath the scattered leaves. The season rests along the banks while the current continues through.
