The story

Late July light gathers along the fine golden stems and the rounded shoulder of the pot. Behind them, pale curtains veil the window, leaving the interior unseen. A white stripe circles the earthen vessel, echoing the light-colored sill beneath it. Within the broad arch, loose strands reach across the measured lines of the frame, and the day seems to pause at the glass.
