The story

Late July light fills the white curves of the entrance, leaving cool blue shadows along the stairs. The cat settles beside a heavy planter, paws gathered beneath its chest. Above the gates, pink flowers rise into a sky brushed with cloud. A weathered sign asks visitors to stay outside, but the arches let the eye pass through to the water. Between the intricate ironwork and the distant shore, the day seems to pause.
