The story

On this March day, the sun hangs close to the water, casting a bright path beside the pier. Beneath the deck, each pair of pillars frames a smaller opening until the passage becomes a sliver of light. Water gathers around the concrete feet and spreads a pale veil over the shore. The rough columns hold their shadows while orange reflections reach across the wet sand.
