The story

On this September day, the sky appears as a blue opening between great folds of stone. Light reaches the upper edges and spreads a golden glow across their layered surfaces. Below, shadow gathers in the narrow creases, tracing each bend in dark violet. The eye follows a rising ridge until it meets the brightness overhead.
