The story

August light settles unevenly across the waterfront, warming one façade while another holds the blue of the sky. Along the shore, a narrow ribbon of green separates the buildings from the water. The tower’s slender spire reaches into an opening between clouds. Below, the water softens into long gray-blue bands, lending the crowded skyline a moment of stillness.
