A steep upward view places an illuminated M&M’s storefront beneath towering blue billboards and a dark, gridded facade. Saturated reds, yellows, and greens punctuate the architecture, while converging edges draw the eye into the black sky. The contrast between commercial exuberance and surrounding darkness gives the scene a theatrical intensity.
The story
On this August night, color seems to take the place of daylight. A column of glowing candy discs climbs beside the windows, each circle a small pool of brightness. Above, figures on blue screens hover against the building’s rigid grid. The eye travels upward through the spectacle until the signs end and only darkness remains.
