Towering rock walls rise above a wooded riverbank, their faces divided between cool shadow and radiant golden light. The wide composition pairs the cliffs with their reflections, while scattered river stones interrupt the mirrored surface and anchor the foreground.
The story
Late June brings a fullness of green to the riverbank. Light rests on the high cliffs, revealing their seams and ledges, while the trees below hold pockets of shade. In the water, the golden walls descend toward stones that barely break the surface. A fallen trunk lies along the far bank, its dark grain a quiet counterpoint to the luminous rock. The river gathers sky, foliage, and cliff into one still expanse.
