A broad meadow opens beneath a dense line of conifers and towering, sheer rock faces. Saturated amber light warms the trees and upper cliffs, while the green foreground stretches toward a luminous opening in the valley. The contrast between fine grasses and monumental stone gives the composition both intimacy and grandeur.

The story

Late June gathers in the tall grass, each blade catching a thread of gold. Beyond the meadow, conifers rise in uneven ranks against the rock. Light traces the upper cliff while its deep grooves remain in shadow. Beneath the orange sky, the valley holds a quiet spaciousness, with nothing interrupting the passage from grass to trees to stone.
