Brilliant orange and coral markings spread across broad leaves, contrasting with olive tones and the deeper green foliage behind them. Water droplets catch the light along textured surfaces, while fine red veins and branching stems give the composition its delicate structure.

The story

I was drawn to the orange before I noticed the water. Against the surrounding green, each leaf held a different balance of colour: some almost entirely bright, others carrying only a narrow streak along a vein. I framed them closely, letting the foliage fill the edges. Looking through the camera, I followed the small droplets and branching lines, finding a quieter rhythm beneath that first impression of flame.
