Scattered boats rest across a sheltered expanse of water, their hulls and mooring posts mirrored in soft gold. A blue boat anchors the foreground, while distant islets and a fringe of palms trace the boundary between sea and luminous sky.
The story
I framed the boats with enough space around them to let the water hold the scene. The blue hull drew my eye first, then the slender mast at the left and the small reflections beneath each mooring. Beyond them, the islets barely interrupted the horizon. In that warm light, the distance between one boat and another felt as important as the boats themselves, each resting in its own patch of gold.
